More than 100 Soldiers with the New Jersey Army National Guard participated in DEFENDER 25, the U.S. Army’s largest annual security cooperation exercise in Europe, held May 24–June 11, 2025. While in Albania, Citizen-Soldiers with the 104th BEB, 44th IBCT, and Observer Coach/Trainer Operations Group completed annual training requirements, strengthened NATO interoperability, and reinforced a nearly 25-year partnership with Albania through the State Partnership Program.
