U.S. Army 1st 1LT Andrew D. Devine, Ordnance Platoon Trainer within the D.C. Army National Guard’s 260th Regiment Regional Training Institute (RTI), administers the oath of enlistment to his youngest son, U.S. Army National Guard recruit Elijah Castellanos, during an enlistment ceremony at the D.C. Armory on July 10, 2025. Castellanos is Lt. Devine's second son to join the DCNG. Devine is also the first recipient of the DCNG’s Bonus for Referral Initiative for District Guard Enlistments (BRIDGE), an incentive program that awards $1,000 to current members and veterans for successful enlistment referrals.
