A U.S. Army Land based Phalanx Weapon System, operated by 218th Field Artillery Regiment, assigned to Task Force ARMADILLO fires 20mm rounds as part of a weapons calibration exercise, within the Deconfliction Zone, Syria, June 10, 2025. The live-fire exercise aimed at strengthening base defense capabilities, directly enhancing the Coalition’s readiness to respond to any threat. By improving rapid response and precision firepower, the Coalition ensures the safety of its forces and partner nations while maintaining the ability to conduct effective joint operations.
