State leaders in many fields including education, commerce, private industry and government meet for the North Carolina Advisory Commission on Military Affairs at the Lane Tree Conference center here, April 18. Here Army Col. Jeffery Copeland, North Carolina National Guard Strategic Plans Officer, takes notes during the meeting. The commission meets quarterly to advise the Governor of North Carolina and Secretary of Commerce on military issues including infrastructure, state military driven economic development and quality of life.
