    During an insurgent attack in 2004, a fierce battle took place along this cat walk leading to the north end of the Al Basra Oil Terminal, 30 miles off the Iraqi coast in the Persian Gulf. U.S. Navy and Coast Guard personnel are stationed on the terminal to provide security to deter any future threats against the terminal and Iraq’s economy. U.S. Army photo by Spc. Darryl L.
