HAYAMA, Japan (June 27, 2025) – Darlene Hernandez-Purvis, a volunteer for the Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center (CFAY FFSC) shows off her impressive collection of Goshuin stamps during the Zushi-Hayama Tour Friday, June 27, 2025. Goshuin translates to "honorable red seal" and is a stamp that can only be obtained from Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan. CFAY FFSC provides a free monthly tour of Zushi-Hayama for community members. Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center (CFAY FFSC) holds a monthly Zushi-Hayama Tour for base community members. The free, family-friendly tour includes information on how to use Japan's public transportation system, visits to Morito-Damyojin Shrine and the Yujiro Ishihara Memorial Monument -- both in the Town of Hayama -- and closes out with a trip to Kamegaoka Shrine in the City of Zushi. CFAY FFSC’s mission is to enhance operational readiness, strengthen resiliency and quality-of-life in the Forward Deployed Naval Forces by providing customer focused, consistent, and efficient programs and services.
