Maddox Helfrich took his oath of enlistment into the Illinois Army National Guard surrounded by proud family and friends. He enlisted as a 15W Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operator and will attend Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Col.
