Courtesy Photo from Boot Camp - Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher Horrox never expected to join the military—but after a series of dead-end jobs and encouragement from his Navy veteran brother, he walked into a recruiting station and launched a career that would lead to him being named Sailor of the Year for Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia. Now serving as Leading Petty Officer and Security Manager, Horrox is known for his empathetic leadership and dedication to his team. A Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT), he’s served at Fort Gordon, the National Security Agency, and aboard the USS Mustin. Though quiet and unsure when he began, Horrox credits the Navy with giving him confidence and purpose—and hopes to continue his journey with future assignments in Hawaii or Spain.
