U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Carlos A. Ruiz, the 20th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, leaves a note and a challenge coin in a Marine’s barracks room during his visit at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), June 23, 2025. During his visit, Ruiz met with leadership from MCBH, visited the College of Enlisted Military Education - Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy, conducted a barracks walkthrough, toured the MCBH Individual Issue Facility (IIF), and spoke at an all-hands town hall.
