U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Bobbi Shea, commanding general, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, commander, Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Northern Command, along with senior leaders from MARFORCOM, arrived at BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair on May 16, 2025. During the visit, Shea conducted a comprehensive tour of USS Carter Hall, engaging with subject matter experts to assess the ship’s readiness, warfighting capabilities, and recent modifications and technological advancements. The engagement also served to reinforce relationships with key leadership at the shipyard. USS Carter Hall is assigned to the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group under Expeditionary Strike Group 2.
