The command team of Headquarters Support Company (HSC), Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBn), U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), consisting of U.S. Army 1st Sgt. James Barton, the outgoing HSC first sergeant, Capt. LeeAnna Mitchell, HSC company commander, and 1st Sgt. Ben Starling, incoming HSC first sergeant, marches during the change of responsibility ceremony in Vicenza, Italy, June 12, 2025. The change of responsibility ceremony reinforces the noncommissioned officer role in the U.S. Army and highlights their support to their respective command. HSC conducts daily sustainment operations, training and support for assigned and attached personnel. They provide trained, qualified, ready, available and deployable Soldiers for SETAF-AF in support of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, as well as U.S. Africa Command campaign objectives.
