    76th Operational Response Command

The 76th ORC deputy commanding general, Brig. Gen. Shaun Miller, new Consequence Management Unit (CMU) commander Col. Nicholas Hoyt and CMU command sergeant major, Command Sgt. Maj. Kevin Edwards pose to their "patch pride."

The Consequence Management Unit held their change of command on June 7, 2025 in Gunpowder, Maryland during its battle training assembly weekend. The outgoing commander, Col. Virginia "Ginger" Shaw relinquished command to Col. Nicholas Hoyt.

Established in 2001, the CMU provides multi-disciplined consequence management expertise for Army, joint and interagency operations and is part of the 20th CBRNE Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives), the U.S. military's only multifunctional formation that combats CBRNE threats around the globe.

Among its ranks, the CMU has officers and noncommissioned officers with advanced degrees, specialized training and licensing in their military and civilian professions to include medical doctors, military intelligence professionals, environmental scientists, nuclear power experts, physicists, and Chemical Corps officers.
