Current and former commanding officers of 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, salute the colors during the pass in review portion of a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, June 12, 2025. The change of command ceremony signifies the transition to new leadership and a continuation of the unit’s constant preparedness to fight and win. Under the leadership of the outgoing commanding officer, Lt. Col. Ramon D. Gonzalez, the unit executed thirteen major service and joint-level exercises while supporting four Marine Expeditionary Unit deployments, three Unit Deployment Program rotations, and three Marine Rotational Force Darwin deployments.
