U.S. Marines with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band perform during a change of command ceremony for 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd MAW, at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, June 12, 2025. The change of command ceremony signifies the transition to new leadership and a continuation of the unit’s constant preparedness to fight and win. Under the leadership of the outgoing commanding officer, Lt. Col. Ramon D. Gonzalez, the unit executed thirteen major service and joint-level exercises while supporting four Marine Expeditionary Unit deployments, three Unit Deployment Program rotations, and three Marine Rotational Force Darwin deployments.
