(June 17, 2025) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Jacqueline Holman, a preventive medicine technician with Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command (NMCFHPC) and Command Master Chief Francisco Maccarelli, cut a cake in celebration of the Hospital Corps 127th birthday on Jun. 17, 2025, Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. The Hospital Corps is the most decorated corps in the United States Navy comprised of more than 26,000 active duty and reserve Hospital Corpsmen practicing or training in 40 technical specialties. Their accolades include: 23 Medal of Honor recipients, 946 Silver Stars and 1,582 Bronze Stars with the combat ā€œVā€ for valor and 22 Naval ships are named after Hospital Corpsman.
