U.S. Army Capt. Jason Reese and Sgt. 1st Class Sean Marshall, both assigned to 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force–Southern Border, oversee their team as they execute a detection and monitoring patrol in Yuma, Ariz., June 11, 2025. These troops conduct joint patrols with U.S. Border Patrol agents to detect suspicious activity and potential threats, enhancing situational awareness and supporting the mission to achieve operational control of the border. Under the direction of the U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
