U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Joseph Harden monitors a ground control station, while U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Gifford orients and launches a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) during react-to-contact training at Ādaži Training Area, Latvia on June 8, 2025.
Both Soldiers are assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment, Michigan Army National Guard. The team employed the sUAS to conduct reconnaissance and enhance situational awareness prior to squad movement as part of multinational training operations.
