U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Joseph Harden, UAS operator, and U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Gifford, both assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment, Michigan Army National Guard, launch an unmanned aerial system (UAS) during react-to-contact training at Ādaži Training Area, Latvia on June 8, 2025. The Soldiers deployed the UAS to conduct reconnaissance and provide situational awareness prior to squad movement, enhancing tactical decision-making and battlefield visibility during the multinational exercise.
