    BUSAN, South Korea (June 6, 2025) – U.S. Navy Cmdr. Stephen Chapman, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea (CNFK) chaplain, offers a prayer during a memorial ceremony at Hongbeopsa Temple in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, South Korea, June 6, 2025. This was the first time a U.S. Navy chaplain was invited to speak to the ceremony, which honors those who lost their lives during the Korean War. CNFK is the U.S. Navy’s representative in the Republic of Korea, providing leadership and expertise in naval matters to improve institutional and operational effectiveness between the two navies and to strengthen collective security efforts in Korea and the region.
