This Mavic 3 Thermal drone flies over the field in preparation for an unmanned aircraft system drop to engage and test U.S. Army Soldiers for Operation Mojave Falcon on the Lark field at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, June 2, 2025.
As technology continues to progress, unmanned aircraft system training is used during exercises such as Mojave Falcon to simulate its usage in the battlefield. Mojave Falcon is an Army Reserve exercise that tests the unit’s readiness and support capabilities across a coast-to-coast battlefield in a Large Scale Combat Operations environment. This is a multi-faceted first-of-its-kind training exercise that integrates Combat Support Training Exercise, Global Medic, Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise, National Training Center, Port Operations and Nationwide Move.
