Mounted crew served weapons support each other as targets are engaged by the 1/175 INF during annual training. An M240 in a flanking vehicle supports the M2 .50 Caliber utilizing the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) on range 85 at ASA Fort Dix. Operators train on using the multi optical, range fire system to engage automated popup targets up to 1900 meters. CROWS allows them to spot, determine range, and engage targets with automatic bursts of fire without leaving the protection of their vehicle. Crews include a driver, tactical commander, and the CROWS operator. (Images provided by the USASA Fort Dix Training Division / Steven Roussel)
