Troops in the open as a Soldier from the 1/175 INF fires on targets from inside a HUMVEE, utilizing the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) on range 85 at ASA Fort Dix. Operators train on using the multi optical, range fire system to engage automated popup targets up to 1900 meters at range 85. CROWS allows them to spot, determine range, and engage targets with automatic bursts of fire without leaving the protection of their vehicle. Crews include a driver, TM and spotter and the CROWS operator. (Images provided by the USASA Fort Dix Training Division / Steven Roussel)
