While on a training mission in the skies above Oregon, a U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle assigned to the 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base receives fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild Air Force Base June 4, 2025. The KC-135’s refueling capabilities allow fighters such as the F-15C to refuel mid-air, extending their operational range allowing them to maintain air superiority for extended periods and project power globally.
