Master Sgt. Joseph Torres, 819th RED HORSE Squadron expeditionary engineering section chief, briefs a group of Air Force Academy cadets May 28, 2025, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. The 819 RHS is a self-sufficient, 240-person mobile unit capable of rapid response and independent operations in remote, austere environments worldwide, providing heavy repair capability and construction support when requirements exceed normal base civil engineer capabilities and where Army engineer support is not readily available.
