250529-N-JM360-1005 CHINHAE, South Korea (May. 29, 2025) –Detail Chinhae, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, alongside ROK NMCB-2 personnel to perform expedient repairs on a 15-foot diameter, 5-foot deep crater. Utilizing AM2 matting, a standard material for rapid airfield restoration, the team demonstrated proficiency in restoring operational readiness to critical airfield infrastructure. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations, activities, and investments, and is capable at the unit-of-action level to support major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of operations with efficient airfield, waterfront, and advanced base construction.
