250529-N-JM360-1001 CHINHAE, South Korea (May. 29, 2025) –Constructionman Matthew Mena, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, with Republic of Korea (ROK) NMCB-2 at Jinhae ROK Naval Base to perform an expedient airfield damage repair on a 15-foot diameter, 5-foot deep crater using AM2 matting, enhancing bilateral Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) capabilities and reinforcing U.S.-ROK military cooperation. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations, activities, and investments, and is capable at the unit-of-action level to support major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of operations with efficient airfield, waterfront, and advanced base construction.
