The 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) was the first active-duty unit to receive the ARC-231A (RT 1987) systems installed on its aircraft. The RT 1987 represents the latest advancement in communication technology, offering a multi-band, multi-mission airborne tactical communications system that meets various mission requirements.
