A 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Maritime Raid Force Marine conducts a live fire exercise with an M4 Carbine aboard the USS San Antonio (LPD 17) April 11, 2013. The 26th MEU is currently deployed as part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group to the 5th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
