YOKOHAMA, Japan (May 21, 2025) - Kyoko Sugita, a community relations specialist working for Commander, Fleet Activites Yokosuka (CFAY), cleans Yokohama Foreign General Cemetery in Yokohama, Japan May 21, 2025. Founded in 1854 where one of Commodore Matthew C. Perry's Sailors was first buried, the five acre site is the final resting place for more than 4,200 people including many U.S., British, and French servicemembers. Traditionally, CFAY Sailors visit the cemetery around Memorial Day to remove weeds and leaves, remove debris, and trim branches and vines. (U.S. Navy photo by James Kimber)
