U.S. Army Sgt. Anna Arthur, assigned to the 409th Medical Company (Area Support), a U.S. Army Reserve unit assigned to the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) (807th MCDS) and U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Price, assigned to the 945th Forward Resuscitative Surgical Detachment, 807th MCDS, assist medics from the Armed Forces of Senegal in placing a simulated casualty onto a litter during a multinational mass casualty training event at Centre d’Entraînement Tactique 2 (CET2) in Dodji, Senegal, May 12, 2025. The training reinforced interoperability and emergency response coordination among Dutch, Senegalese and U.S. forces during African Lion 2025 (AL25). AL25, the largest annual military exercise in Africa, brings together over 50 nations, including seven NATO allies and 10,000 troops to conduct realistic, dynamic and collaborative training in an austere environment that intersects multiple geographic and functional combatant commands. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) on behalf of U.S. Africa Command, AL25 takes place from April 14 to May 23, 2025, across Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia.
