GREAT LAKES, Illinois (May 6, 2025) Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) Commanding Officer, Capt. Stephen Yargosz, and NSGL Command Master Chief Jon Crisafulli speak to a group of recruits assigned to recruit training division 254 of training group 30, and sponsored by NSGL, during a commissioning ceremony held at Recruit Training Command's Midway drill hall. Recruit division sponsorship develops a special bond between recruit divisions and military or civilian organizations. Mentorship and direct contact from the sponsors enhance basic training and provide a unique learning experience for Recruits and sponsoring groups.
