PORT HUENEME, Calif. (May 15, 2025) Lt. Cmdr. Charles Murdock, relieved Cmdr. Matthew Evans as commanding officer of Underwater Construction Team (UCT) TWO during a time honored Change of Command ceremony conducted onboard Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme, May 15, 2025. Known as 'Seabee Divers,' UCT-2 provides waterfront and underwater facility construction, engineering, inspection, maintenance, repair, surveys, seafloor mapping, and precision demolition in support of combatant command operations. NBVC is major shore warfighting platform; providing sustained ready forces to deploy, fight, and win. Composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island and home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 110 tenant commands.(U.S. Navy video by Lt.j.g.
