NORWAY, Bodø (May 2, 2025) The De Zeven Provinciën-class frigate of the Royal Netherlands Navy, HNLMS De Ruyter (F804), left, The Álvaro de Bazán-class Spanish frigate, Cristóbal Colón (F-105), center, and the Iver Huitfeldt-class frigate of the Royal Danish Navy (F361), right, are moored together in Bodø, Normandy for a port call during an At-Sea Demonstration (ASD) / Formidable Shield (FS) 2025, May 2, 2025. ASD/FS 25 is the largest at-sea live-fire exercise in the European theater, hosted by U.S. 6th Fleet and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO. ASD/FS 25 is designed to enhance Allied interoperability in a joint, live-fire, Integrated Air and Missile Defense environment using NATO command and control reporting structures.
