U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jarod W. Dicks, the incoming commanding officer of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 311, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, gives remarks during a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, May 9, 2025. The change of command ceremony signifies the transition to new leadership and a continuation of the unit’s constant preparedness to fight and win. VMFA-311 was reactivated in 2023 as the Marine Corps’ second F-35C Lightning II squadron, and under the leadership of Lt. Col. Michael P.
