250505-N-YS140-1001 DAKAR, Senegal (May 5, 2025) - The Senegalese flag waves above the Senegalese naval special forces, Forces Speciale de Mer (FSM), compound during a ceremony marking the start of the FSM-led Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) training for 28 students from seven partner African nations as part of Obangame Express 2025. Obangame Express is one of three regional maritime exercises led by U.S. Sixth Fleet as part of a comprehensive strategy to provide collaborative opportunities to African forces and international partners to address maritime security concerns.
