This event commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of Pilsen on May 6, 1945, when American troops from the 16th Armored Division and the 2nd and 97th Infantry Divisions liberated the citizens of Pilsen, Czech Republic, from Waffen-SS control.
