U.S. Army Sgt. Christopher Petersen, a senior network communications specialist assigned to Charlie Company, 227th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Hawai'i Army National Guard (HIARNG), is evaluated on tactical combat casualty care during the HIARNG Best Warrior Competition 2025 in Waimanalo, Hawai'i, April 4, 2025. The state-level BWC is an annual event held throughout the country by Army National Guard organizations to identify the most skilled and proficient Soldiers, noncommissioned officers and officers within their organization. Hawaii’s winners in the Soldier and noncommissioned officer categories will advance to the region 7 competition against Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah National Guards.
