Nebraska Army National Guard Master Sgt. Doug Hartman saluates during the National Anthem before the start of the 48th Annual Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon, May 4, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska. More than 170 National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from 47 states and three U.S. territories competed at the Lincoln Marathon which serves as the biennial time trials for the National Guard All Guard Marathon Team. An additional 125 Nebraska National Guard Soldiers and Airmen also participated in the Lincoln Marathon running the full 26.2 miles, or marching with weighted rucksacks the 13.1 miles half-marathon distance. Nebraska National Guard Soldiers and Airmen annually provide support at the start and finish line areas, aid stations, water points and more throughout the race.
