U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Deevon Carpenter, 633d Medical Group Tactical Combat Casualty Care coordinator, teaches a class of Airmen about Combat Life Saver techniques at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, April 28, 2025. TCCC is a week-long course that introduces invasive medical interventions and expands on the curriculum learned in tier one. An important principle of TCCC is to ensure the knowledge, skills, and training standards provided are evidence based and rooted in improving combat medicine while increasing the life-saving capabilities of all service members. CLS constantly receives updates and improvements to ensure Airmen are trained to complete the mission while preventing avoidable casualties in or out of uniform.
