U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ashton Permann, an airborne and air delivery specialist with 2nd Distribution Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, inspects cargo netting at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, April 30, 2025. Permann was selected by his command due to his constant dedication to the mission success while serving as section leader, jumpmaster and embarkation chief for 1st Platoon Air Distribution Company which is a senior noncommissioned officer billet that includes providing logistical planning, management, and the execution of Air Distribution Company operations. As a Jumpmaster, Permann has conducted, planned, executed, and supervised over 12 cargo and personnel drops within the past three months. Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member.
