Cindy Stonebraker Reed, a Gold-Star daughter and president of Mission: POW-MIA, speaks at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency’s All Hands meeting to tell her missing-in-action father’s story in Arlington, Virginia, April 28, 2025. Reed is the daughter of U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Kenneth A. Stonebraker, who was the navigator aboard an RF-4C Phantom II when it disappeared during a reconnaissance mission over North Vietnam. The Phantom briefly made radio contact, but was never heard from again. After failing to return to base, unsuccessful search and rescue efforts were initiated in an attempt to locate Stonebraker. He remains unaccounted for to this day. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Ashleigh Maxwell)
