The E3B is a grueling assessment with multiple graded tasks over a one-week period to test Soldiers' mastery of the basics. The Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) is for Soldiers whose occupation is infantryman or special forces, the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) is for those with occupations in the medical field, and Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) is for all other Army military occupational skills.
