Justin Pyle, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and instructor at the Defense Information School, teaches Mass Communication Foundations course students studio fundamentals on Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, April 23, 2025. MCF students learn and apply basic photography fundamentals, including optics, light and color theory, composition, exposure and lighting, studio photography, and use a digital single-lens reflex camera to capture both still and motion imagery of both controlled and uncontrolled action for historical documentation and in support of Department of Defense themes and messages.
