Lance Cpl. Michael C. Devries, rifleman, Light Armored Reconnaissance Platoon, Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, practices a technique from the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program on Lance Cpl. To pass time while deployed, Devries studies French and works out. His favorite part of the deployment was training in Saudi Arabia during a theater security cooperation exercise. He looks forward to going home and seeing his family. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
