A Russian Tu-95 and a Su-35 military aircraft are positively identified and intercepted by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) F-35 Lightning II aircraft over the Bering Sea, April 14,2025. NORAD employs a layered defense network of satellites, ground-based and airborne radars and fighter aircraft to detect and track aircraft and inform appropriate actions.
