Owen, 2, son of Sydney and Sgt. Brody Gallegos of the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, proudly holds a chicken during the traditional Courir de Mardi Gras “Chicken Chase” while stationed at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Johnson. The festive event celebrates Louisiana’s rich cultural heritage and gives children a chance to experience the fun of Mardi Gras firsthand.
