U.S. Army soldiers with Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Regiment, and the Spanish Armed Forces work together to lower a replacement engine into the engine cavity of a U.S. M88 Hercules Armored Recovery Vehicle at Camp Adazi, Latvia, April 14, 2025. The main winch on the M88A2 is capable of a 70-ton, single-line recovery, which enables it to extricate vehicles that have become disabled or entangled. Armored tanks, aircraft, and long-range artillery are V-Corps’ cornerstone warfighting capabilities that enable the Corps to remain lethal and agile along NATO’s Eastern flank.
