The sounds of live-fire training echos through day and night as 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division conducts gunnery exercises with the M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tank.
To foster transparency and strengthen community relations, local media outlets were invited to observe the training, engage directly with Soldiers, and gain a deeper understanding of the operations behind the noise.
Opportunities like these are critical not only for informing the public, but for developing our Soldiers’ communication skills. Engaging with media builds confidence and strengthens their ability to represent the Army’s mission with professionalism.
