Chris Murphy, aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), Iwo Jima Amphibious Readiness Group, while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, April 4, 2025. Mr. Beard participated in a Staff Delegation visit aboard the Iwo Jima during Amphibious Squadron 8 (PHIBRON 8), 22nd MEU Integration (PMINT) exercise while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, April 4, 2025. The purpose of the delegation's visit was to foster dialogue with Navy and Marine Corps personnel at all levels, thereby deepening their understanding of the ARG/MEU's capacity to execute diverse mission sets, such as campaigning, crisis response, conflict, and deterrence.
