South Carolina Army National Guard (SCARNG) and Law Enforcement Division (SLED) helicopters conduct water-backet drops to assist the containment of the Table Rock Complex Wildfires in Upstate South Carolina, March 27, 2025. The South Carolina Forestry Commission’s fire-containment effort is supported by a fleet of helicopters consisting of two CH-47 Chinook and two UH-60 Black Hawk SCARNG helicopters, plus a SLED Bell 412. In addition, the SCARNG provides (on standby) LUH-72 Lakota helicopters for radio communications support, rescue, and other utility tasks. The SCARNG helicopter component is supported by an off-site, command and control team. (U.S. Army National Guard photos by Sgt. 1st Class Roberto Di Giovine)
